Vesela Ilieva is an editor and a graduate of BFM film school in Tallinn. A while ago, Vesela was doing magic tricks with cards, but she was too scared of fumbling a performance in front of people. So, she started filming her hands from different angles to observe and improve her sleight of hand. While watching the footage, she thought about combining some of the shots and adding music. That quickly led to experimenting with techniques and transitions, and much like Georges Méliès, she discovered the power (or magic) of video editing. Fast forward to the present day, Vesela is still not a magician, but she would like to become one — at least in the editing room.
