‘Again’ Won Best music Video 2026 at PEFF

We are excited to announce that the ‘Again’ music video won Best Student Music Video at the PEFF 2026. The victory took place during the 4th annual PEFF festival run in Tartu, which held its screenings at the Tartu Elektriteater. ‘Again’ is a music video we created for the Estonian indie rock band Mara on the Moon. It was directed by Alina Mustovici and shot by Siim-Kaspar Kollamaa. The ‘Again’ song was part of their album ‘A Change of Heart’. Mara on the Moon band originates from Viljandi/Tallinn. Their first LIVE took place on May 14, 2022 at the Salme Culture Center. Their inspirations range from trip hop, post-punk, prog and indie rock. Poetry is a big part of the music video and director, Alina Mustovici, had a reason for it. She said, “For me, it’s so natural because poetry is one of my biggest passions in life. And music is poetry. It seems only right to incorporate poetry in the music video. It’s symbolism. It’s transformation. It’s life. It’s this burning desire the musician has to transform.” The music video tells a story about a woman who is going through some hard times in her relationship. The music video uses elements of nature to draw parallels to mental healing steps - earth, water, air. She ventures out and goes through all of these elements to come back healed and make peace with herself. Director Alina Mustovici said about the role of elements, “They are all related to each other and depend on each other and everything is always transforming. If something is not transforming, it means it’s dead.” She enunciated that it is only normal for our hearts, our minds, our bodies to transform. Mustovici also found great importance in working with the choreographers and dancers. They have the ability to make the elements come alive. “Especially with the air, I wanted to show how wind and movement feel,” she pointed out. It was an easy process. “The next time we met was on the field dancing and it was great. We got it from the second time.” Written by Lotta Raidna
